Moods of a Cat

Do you know how to tell what kind of mood a cat is in? There are various ways to tell by observing its actions. It can think and make decisions like humans. Also like humans, it can have different personalities. It can display these different personality traits: jealousy, timidity, impudence, obedience, stubbornness, spitefulness, vileness, and tranquility. It has a very good memory and cruelty to it can influence its' behavior.
If its ears are flattened, it is annoyed or frightened. If it is lying down with its' eyes closed but moving its' tail is spying on something.
If its back is arched, ears flattened and eyes dilated it is ready to attack or bite. If it is slinking low to the ground with ears pined back and fur standing up it is stalking and could attack.
If it is flicking its' tail, it is excited. One flick means hello. Moving its' tail side to side, it is happy.
It can make several sounds. When it hisses, it is annoyed and may scratch or bite. A meow usually means it wants something. If it is content, it will usually purr but purring could also indicate pain. When it rubs against you and purrs that is the sign of affection. When it meets another cat, it can generate over 50 sounds form harsh to acute to communicate its feelings.
It can become jealous of other animals in a house and create mischief to express its displeasure. It does well in psychometric tests and is very observant. When it is being bad, there is usually a reason for its behavior.
Be observant of these moods to better respond to its needs.
